The series play with distortion, noise and condensation, discussing symptoms caused by sensory overload. In contrast, balancing visual strategies such as reduction, white space and harmonious composition are applied, creating a sense of calm, and seeking a place beyond overload.

The prints are based on photos of reflections on storefront windows. They bring a natural surrealism into the work by superimposing elements of outside, on and inside the windows.

The printing process was experimental and iterative, the research mainly practice-based. Multiple several-day working sessions at House of Artists Stuttgart (Künstlerhaus Stuttgart) enabled a deep, uninterrupted artistic exploration of the topic.

Not only the compositions but also the base materials and colors were carefully selected. For the larger prints on textile, several material studies were conducted.

The thesis book design was inspired by contemporary magazines. The book combines theoretical research findings and practical results, holistically presenting the project.

Several prints developed during the thesis have been recognized and selected for international juried exhibitions in London and Berlin and the 9th Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland in Romania. A conceptual solo exhibition was held at Stuttgart Main Station, confronting the works with one of the most overloading spots in the city.
