Antonia Reber
Born 1999 in Wangen im Allgäu, currently living in Stuttgart.
Antonia Reber is a Stuttgart-based artist working at the intersection of photography and screen printing. She studied Fine Art Conception M.A. and Information Design B.A., where she developed a strong foundation in visual systems, composition, and image theory - elements that continue to shape her artistic practice.
Reber’s practice centers on photographing reflections in urban environments, which she transforms through analog screen-printing processes. By layering, fragmenting, and abstracting these images, she creates works that oscillate between recognition and dissolution. Chance plays a crucial role: ghost images, variations in exposure, and visible material textures are embraced as integral components of the final image.
Her work engages with themes of sensory overload, disorientation, and the shifting nature of perception. Through this, she invites viewers to reconsider how reality is constructed and experienced in urban space. In her ongoing research project "Sensory Overload – A Visual Exploration of Urban Spaces", she investigates perception within the complexity of the modern city.
